We both thought the Stomach of Steel was pretty funny anyway. Michelle, one of the lovely and super-friendly ACB reception staff, finally poses for a picture with me nearly six weeks of staying at her money-sucking establishment.
Hiya mate, can't seem to get an email off to you, gizza shout at mike_74uk@yahoo.co.uk... Good to see you're still at ACB (just can't leave that place eh)
In September '04, I started my year out which has seen me visit numerous countries and take in new experiences. Here's a peek into what I've seen and done, hopefully serving as inspiration for friends to get over that 'travelling inertia' and do it themselves!
There's a 'comments' link below all posts, please click on them and leave us one!
The 'Archives' section (below) is where you can see what I'd been doing for that month. Enjoy, and keep in touch; let me know you've stopped by.
Hailing partly from the Middle East and the UK, I spent most of my first years in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I left the Kingdom at fifteen with fond memories of the Jeddah Prep. and Continential, and contacts with dozens of close international friendships forged over the years.
I spent 1999-2001 at High School in Cheshire before moving on to the University of Sheffield to study Artifical Intelligence. Travelling was then the order of the day, and I toured through South-East Asia, Australisia, South & Central America. Highlights included the Nevis bungy jump in New Zealand and diving for two months in the Carribean off the lazy and beatiful island of Utila.
I did a Management MSc at Bath and I'm now working for IBM in London.. always wanted to live in the Big Smoke!
